We moved the boys to a new school this summer after a lot of staff turnover at their old school. I was hesitant to make the change since Michael is just one year from another big change - kindergarten! It was rough in the beginning. I thought Brooks would struggle a little more because he tends to be on the shy side at times...but, to my surprise, Brooks handled the transition like a champ and Michael was the one who struggled. Michael had been attending the same Montessori school since he turned one (albeit just a couple of days a week)....and he certainly missed his old school in the beginning and had a bit of tough time. I struggled with this quite a bit in the beginning (mommy guilt!!!), but in the end it was for the best and they are doing so well. Brooks is in Preschool and Michael is in 5K three days a week. This was a pic (a bad one since it was w/my camera phone) of our back to school breakfast. This school has been so great so far - great communication, great teachers, and best of all.....lunch provided at school!! (not really a "best", that would be selfish of me), but it is certainly a perk not to have to pack their lunch every day. :)
