One of the fun things Michael's 5K class is doing this year is having a class "pet". Zippy the Zebra goes home with one deserving "good citizen" of the class each week. The job of each family the weekend they have Zippy is to take him wherever they go and document all of the fun things you did with Zippy to share w/the class the following week.
Wouldn't you know it, our Michael got it Week 1 in 5K. I was so proud!! We took Zippy to Pappadeaux, to the bike park (no pics unfortunately), to a pirate-themed birthday, and played with him around the house. Unfortunately, Zippy's arm was hanging by a thread after we got him and 5 minutes into his visit to our home his left arm came off. So, I had to do some "surgery" in the form of sewing it back on before we returned it.
We wrapped up our weekend by creating a poster w/pictures of all of the fun things that Michael did w/Zippy over the weekend. It was fun!
