Well, we had our one bye week of the season in soccer and thought we would take advantage and get out of town. We headed to OK for a weekend with the cousins and grandparents. We got in late Fri night and then woke up to a DELICIOUS brunch prepared by my sweet Mom for the whole clan. Saturday, the men watched a lot of football, the women did a lot of talking and some shopping, and the cousins played and played. Sat night we grilled out at Karen and Brad's and watched the OU/FSU game. The cousins attempted a sleepover at Karen and Brad's, but at about 10:40 we called it. They were just too wound up to go to sleep. They were talking and playing and we just could not shut the party down!
Sunday, we all headed to Oklahoma City for lunch in Bricktown and then Mike headed to Bass Pro and the OKC Memorial while the girls and the little boys headed to Peter Pan! Mom has season tickets so she and Sully sat in their seats while Karen and I and the rest of the boys sat together. Karen and I were a little concerned that Brooks and Colin wouldn't make it through it since they are a bit younger, but our fears were unfounded because they loved it!! Cathy Rigby, who is close to 60 yrs old, played the role of Peter Pan and she was amazing. The show was at 2 pm in the City, so we didn't make it home until after 8 on Sunday night....but, it was well worth it. Thanks for a great weekend, Nana, Dampa, and the Cooksey clan! We love you!
